Vince Fontaine picks up a 2011 Canadian Folk Music Award!
Vince received the prestigeous "Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year" award at this year's Canadian Folk Music Awards, which took place on December 4th in Toronto, for his solo project Songs For Turtle Island!

The Great Unknown wins North American Indigenous Image Award
Eagle & Hawk's latest album The Great Unknown was named Best Rock Recording at this year's North American Indigenous Image Awards. The NAIIAs, which took place in Albuquerque on April 29th, celebrate the achievements of Indigenous people in the performing arts and media. This is the 5th award for The Great Unknown, which has also received an Indian Summer Music Award, an Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award, two Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and a total of 18 nominations. Best Album of the Year and Best Group of 2010!
Eagle & Hawk received the double honour of "Best Album of the Year" and "Best Group" at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards for their latest album The Great Unknown. E&H also performed on the awards show on November 26 in Hamilton, Ontario. The show was recorded by CityTV and will be broadcast nationally at a later date. Once we know the date, we will post it here.
